Just last month, Squeak performed in support of Cloud Control. (Infectious Music, U.K., Votive music U.S.)
Squeak Lemaire is well known for his unique playing style, and his soulful voice.
“If you were blown away by Squeak in the past, wait ’till you experience this!”

For those of you who have followed the musical progression of young Squeak Lemaire from Ocean Shores, there is no surprise that with each performance, a new point on the star is added.
There’s an unseen twist in the songs, the occasional and unpredictable mash up of tracks from his current release “Coins& Bottles” EP and some eclectic cover track from the early nineties, or maybe just a full stripped down coffee house version of an old favorite.
As more and more major venues book a trip on the Squeak Express, the ride has become noticeably smoother, as if he were living in a virtual rehearsal hall.
New material is developed at his newly equipped home studio, adjusted day to day with video playbacks, and then publicly work-shopped at local open mics.
“I love the expression on people’s faces when I mash up two songs you wouldn’t expect . It’s the sudden change in meter or style that takes you by surprise.”,Squeak says. “I write songs for myself, songs that will stick in your head for the rest of the day. That’s cool and all, but it’s a rush to depart from the recorded version once in a while. It keeps the audience on their toes, and it keeps my songs from becoming cliche.”
From small intimate café’s, or fine restaurants, to big music venues, be prepared to be musically amazed.
2014 eagerly await’s the arrival of Squeak Lemaire’s 2nd CD: a full length album tentitively titled “Insubordination”. Release is scheduled for mid-year. (Just in time for Bluesfest 2015 Roster considerations…hint hint…)
When asked about a possible expanded tour, Squeak replies “Hey, I have to finish year 11 first…”
Squeak on occasion plays unannounced shows at the Fresh Café, and at Pete Murray’s new restaurant, Frankie Browns’, both in Byron Bay.
